How often do you recycle? Is there a weekly pickup in your neighborhood. Here at my home the recycle truck comes by every Monday for papers, aluminum, glass and plastic. A few times a year there is a drop off setup for things like paint, oil, oil filters, batteries; items which should always be disposed of safely.

Computer monitors contain not only arsenic, but mercury and lead. What we don’t want in our landfills! Here is a list of what metals are found in computers:
A typical personal computer contains aluminum, cadmium, chromium, copper, gold, iron, lead, mercury and silver, among other metals. Some of these metals, including cadmium, chromium, lead and mercury, are listed as hazardous and cannot, under federal law, be incinerated or disposed of in community landfill sites.
