My Dad use to cringe when my Mom got out a hammer and nails or worse: drywall anchors. She would tell him, “They are my walls I’ll do what I want.”
When we moved into this house after she passed away, I took down one of her large, original paintings in the living room. I counted 15 nail holes where she had looked for a stud to hang it (very large heavy painting, needed support). I laughed and wondered if my Dad had cringed when she did this to the wall.
